Scholarships & Grants
Beartooth Billings Clinic Foundation is proud to offer the Dr. James & Juanita Kane Scholarship again this year. Since 2006, The Foundation has distributed scholarships to area graduating seniors and Beartooth employees who plan to work in rural healthcare; to date, $122,845 has been awarded to students and staff.
For the 2024/2025 school year, the Foundation Board pivoted the previously known “Student Scholarship” grants to be awarded in support of the Certified Nursing Assistant program at Red Lodge High School. This program is also available to other Carbon County high school students. All program students must complete a final written and clinical competency exam with the further support of Beartooth Billings Clinic Acute Care.
The Foundation continues to annually award current Beartooth employees that are enrolled in, seeking to enroll in, a course of study at one of the accredited technical schools, colleges, or universities in Montana or Wyoming, contributing to the future of rural health. In the same manner of investing in and retaining staff, Development Grant applications are reviewed on an as-needed basis throughout the year.
Please take a moment to review the application requirements. We ask applicants to spend a little time getting to know the amazing legacy Dr. Kane and his family gave to Carbon County and rural healthcare through over 50 years of his dedicated service.
